Ford trucks and muscle cars are among the most converted vehicles in the world. The reasons are simple: cheap donor cars, simple mechanical layouts, and huge aftermarket support. If you own a Mustang, F-150, Ranger, or Focus and want to go electric, here's exactly what a CMVTE Ford kit includes and which components fit your model.

Ford Model-by-Model Guide
Mustang (Fox / SN95 / S197)
The most popular Ford conversion platform. The long engine bay fits a PMSM-35 or PMSM-50 easily. The T5 transmission bolts to CMVTE's Ford-specific adapter plate. Battery placement: split the pack — 60% in the engine bay (under the motor) and 40% in the trunk. Keeps weight balanced.
F-150 (9th-12th gen, 1992-2008)
The F-150 is heavy, so you need a PMSM-50 minimum. The frame rails offer excellent battery mounting space. Use 169.6V 105Ah for 80-100 km of range. The M5OD manual transmission is straightforward to mate. For automatics, CMVTE provides a standalone controller or you can keep the 4R70W with a standalone TCU.
Ranger (1983-2012)
One of the easiest trucks to convert. The engine bay fits a PMSM-25 or 35. Batteries go under the bed or behind the seats in an extended cab. The M5OD-R1 is a direct mate. The Ford Ranger EV (1998-2002) proves the platform works — CMVTE kits improve on the original with modern LFP cells.
Focus / Fiesta
Lightweight compacts that need less power and smaller batteries. PMSM-25 is plenty for the Focus; PMSM-15 works for the Fiesta. Battery fits in the engine bay and under the rear seat. These are the most affordable Ford conversions.
