We Build Battery Packs. And We Use Them Ourselves.
A lot of battery manufacturers just assemble cells, add a BMS, seal the box, and ship it. They don’t think about where that box is supposed to go in a 20‑year‑old car.
At CMVTE, we build battery packs, and we also do actual EV conversions. So we know exactly what fits, what doesn’t, and how to route cables without cutting up your floor.
Our Battery Shop – Small but Capable
We don’t have a massive gigafactory. But we have what matters:
-
Cell sorting and matching
-
Automated spot welding
-
BMS integration and testing
-
100% charge/discharge test before shipping

What Makes Us Different – We Make Odd Shapes
Most battery manufacturers only produce rectangular boxes. But an old car doesn’t have rectangular empty spaces. You have curves, humps, a spare wheel well, a cross member under the seat.
We don’t force you to cut the car. We shape the battery pack to fit the car.
Some real examples we’ve done:
-
VW Golf MK4 – 288.5V 105Ah pack squeezed under the rear seat. Trunk space untouched.
-
Toyota Hiace – 336V 122Ah split into two boxes, mounted low along the chassis rails.
-
VW Beetle – 96V 105Ah sitting behind back seat
-
Ford F‑150 – 400V 150Ah split pack: one in the spare tire area, one behind the rear seat.
What to Look for in a Battery Pack Manufacturer – From Someone Who’s Been There
If you’re shopping for battery packs, here’s what actually matters:
-
Can they do custom shapes? Not just different lengths, but L‑shapes, split packs, low‑profile designs. Ask them.
-
Does the BMS talk to your controller? We use CAN 2.0B. It works with most VCUs and motor controllers. We can share the protocol.
-
Cooling and safety – LiFePO₄ is safe, but it still gets warm under heavy load. Our packs have temperature monitoring. Active cooling is optional.
-
Weight distribution – Batteries are heavy. Put too much in the back, and the car handles terribly. We help you figure out where to place them before you weld anything.
We’re not a “10,000 units minimum” kind of supplier. You need one pack for a personal project? We’ll build it. You need 500 packs for a fleet? We’ll help design a jig and streamline assembly.
Bottom line: we know conversions. We know the pain of trying to stuff a square battery into a round hole. Choose CMVTE, and you’re not just buying a battery pack. You’re working with people who have done the same thing you’re trying to do.
